“Why I Created the Azzurra Collection
The Azzurra Collection is a tribute to the unforgettable trips my husband and I took to those incredible Bahamas islands throughout the 90s—years filled with discovery, music, and the kind of beauty that seems to slow time itself.
These pieces were inspired by the countless shades of crystal-clear turquoise water… the rhythmic shimmer of sunlight on the sea… the quiet soul of early mornings on soft golden shores. Each artwork became my way of honoring that feeling—the one the ocean gives you when you breathe a little deeper and remember who you are.
For me, the Bahamas are more than a destination.
They’re a state of mind: serenity, warmth, openness… with just enough danger to keep you alert and alive. Not every moment was peaceful—some were frightening, some were almost funny after the fact—but each one became a story worth remembering. This collection captures all of it: the stillness, the awe, the joy, and the moments that reminded us to stay aware and respect nature’s power.
